Aesthetic injector in Huntersville, NC, Kat Chapman, BSN, RN, sees patients one at a time at Canvas & Glow on Sam Furr Road in Huntersville. No rushed appointments and no handing you off to a stranger. I’m a licensed RN who takes her time, won’t let you walk out looking overdone, and does every treatment under the supervision of a medical director.
Request a visit and I’ll follow up to get you on the calendar. You’ll see me, a licensed RN injector, and every treatment is done under the supervision of a medical director, a physician with 23 years of practice and about 12 years in aesthetics.
An aesthetic injector uses prescription neurotoxins and dermal filler to soften lines and restore shape in the face. My work falls into three groups:
In North Carolina, a registered nurse injects under physician-directed protocols. I’m the RN doing the injection, and every treatment is done under the supervision of a medical director. You can look up my license on the North Carolina Board of Nursing site.
Most med spas book you every 15 minutes, hand you to whoever’s free, and send you home with no follow-up. That’s not how I work. Every appointment is one-on-one, start to finish.
All neurotoxins are $13 per unit, so you pay for the units used instead of a flat price per area. Filler, Sculptra, Radiesse and PRP BioFiller are quoted at your free consult, and you get a specific estimate before anything is booked.
Area-by-area unit estimates are on the pricing page. If you want to see how a typical neurotoxin visit adds up, read Botox cost in Huntersville.
Most people describe neurotoxin as a few quick pinches. I use fine needles, and the injections take a few minutes. Filler takes a little longer, and we talk through numbing at your consult.
Most people go back to work the same day. With neurotoxin, a small bump, some redness, or a bruise at an injection site is possible. Filler can leave swelling for a few days, and the FDA lists swelling and bruising among the most common filler side effects, adding that many clear up within days to weeks. If you have an event coming up, give yourself at least two weeks.
Neurotoxin settles over about two weeks. MedlinePlus notes that cosmetic Botox for frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet may be repeated every 3 to 4 months, depending on how long the effect lasts.
Filler lasts longer, but how long depends on the product, the area and your body. I give you a realistic range at the consult instead of a promise on a webpage.
Neurotoxins are prescription drugs and the FDA regulates dermal fillers as medical devices, so both belong with a licensed provider in a medical setting. The most serious filler risk is product getting into a blood vessel. The FDA calls that chance low, but it can cause tissue damage, vision problems, or stroke.
The CDC has tracked people who were hurt after injections with counterfeit product or by someone without a valid license. Its page on botulinum toxin injections is worth reading before you book anywhere. Before anything is injected, I ask about pregnancy, breastfeeding, nerve or muscle conditions, allergies, and past reactions.
How many units you need, which filler suits you, and how long your results will last all depend on your face. I find that out at the consult and check it again at two weeks.
Smooth forehead lines, crow’s feet, and the 11s. Natural movement preserved. $13/unit.
