Medical director supervision

Every mobile treatment is done under the supervision of a medical director. I’m the licensed RN doing the injection, following physician-directed protocols. My medical director is a physician with 23 years of practice and about 12 years in aesthetics. The same oversight applies to studio visits at Canvas & Glow on Sam Furr Road in Huntersville.

How a beauty event works

Gather a few friends at your place, and the host is taken care of. Everyone still gets treated as a patient. Every guest gets an individual medical evaluation, a private consultation, and unhurried one-on-one treatment. Nobody gets injected in front of the group, and nobody gets talked into a treatment because a friend did it.

A beauty event is different from a Botox party. Alcohol never mixes with needles, so plan any drinks for another night.

The setup I bring

I bring the identical setup I use in the studio. That means sterile single-use supplies, an emergency kit, and hyaluronidase, the enzyme that can dissolve hyaluronic acid filler, on hand. Every treatment follows physician-directed protocols under North Carolina law and is done under the supervision of a medical director.

You can look up my nursing license on the North Carolina Board of Nursing site before you book. The CDC has tracked people who were hurt after injections with counterfeit product or by someone without a valid license, and its page on botulinum toxin injections is worth a read before you let anyone treat you at home.

What mobile Botox costs

Mobile visits use my standard pricing plus travel, and you get the exact quote at your free consult. Every neurotoxin I carry (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau, and Letybo) is $13 per unit. These are the typical ranges from my pricing page:

Treatment areaTypical unitsEstimated cost at $13/unit
Forehead lines10 to 20 units$130 to $260
Frown lines (11s)20 to 25 units$260 to $325
Crow's feet10 to 15 units$130 to $195
Brow lift4 to 8 units$52 to $104
Bunny lines4 to 6 units$52 to $78
Lip flip4 to 6 units$52 to $78
Full face40 to 60 units$520 to $780

Those are averages. Your number depends on your muscles and the result you want. Filler is priced per syringe and quoted at your consult. I don't post a travel amount here because it's part of the quote you get before anything is booked. Financing through Cherry and CareCredit is available for treatment plans. For more on how pricing works, see Botox cost in Huntersville.

Does it hurt, and how long does it last?

Most people call Botox a quick pinch. Results show over the first few days and settle at about two weeks. MedlinePlus notes that cosmetic Botox for frown lines, forehead lines, and crow's feet may be repeated every 3 to 4 months, depending on how long the effect lasts. I won't promise a number for your face.

There's no real downtime. A little redness or a small bump where the needle went in is common for a short while, and a bruise is possible. I go over aftercare with each guest.

Your follow-up

Every treatment includes a complimentary two-week follow-up. That's when I check the settled result and adjust at no charge if something needs it. Book mobile visits at least two weeks before a wedding or photos, so the result has time to settle.

Who should wait

Botox and Dysport are prescription drugs. MedlinePlus summarizes the patient information for onabotulinumtoxinA (Botox) and abobotulinumtoxinA (Dysport). Tell me at your private consult, before anything is injected, if any of these apply:

  • You're pregnant, planning to be, or breastfeeding.
  • You have a condition that affects muscles or nerves, such as myasthenia gravis, ALS, or Lambert-Eaton syndrome, or you've had trouble swallowing or breathing.
  • There's swelling or any sign of infection where we'd inject.
  • You've had a side effect from any botulinum toxin product before.

If one applies, we talk it through privately before anything happens. Nobody gets treated just to keep the evening on schedule.

What I can't tell you from a webpage

Mobile visits are select, so not every date or address will work. Ask when you book. I also can't tell you how many units you or your friends need until I see each face move at the consult. If a mobile visit doesn't fit, the studio on Sam Furr Road offers the same treatment. See Botox in Huntersville or the full services menu.
