Neurotoxin or filler?
Injectables in Huntersville, NC split into two families that do different jobs, and a lot of first consults start with sorting out which one you need.

Pain, downtime, and how long results last
Neurotoxin feels like a few quick pinches, and the injections take a few minutes. Filler takes longer, and we talk through numbing at your consult. Most people go back to work the same day. Expect the chance of a small bump, redness, or a bruise with either, and a few days of swelling after filler.
Neurotoxin settles at about two weeks, and MedlinePlus notes cosmetic Botox may be repeated every 3 to 4 months, depending on how long the effect lasts. Filler lasts longer, and how long depends on the product and the area, so I give you a range at the consult.
Safety, and who does the injection

The FDA lists swelling and bruising among the most common dermal filler side effects. The most serious filler risk is product getting into a blood vessel. The FDA calls that chance low, but it can cause tissue damage or vision problems. For neurotoxin, the FDA prescribing information for Botox Cosmetic lists side effects such as eyelid or brow drooping and headache. Two weeks later you come back for a complimentary follow-up, and adjustments are made at no charge.
