Whichever treatment we land on, it's done under the supervision of a medical director. I'm the licensed RN doing the injection, following physician-directed protocols. It's mostly pressure. Some fillers contain lidocaine, a numbing medicine, which takes the edge off as I go.
The FDA says how long a filler lasts depends on the filler material and where it's injected, and that absorbable fillers break down over time, so the treatment may need repeating. HA fillers are reversible, so a result you don't like isn't one you're stuck with.
Usually under an hour in the chair. Some swelling for a few days is normal, and a bruise can happen. Most people go straight back to their day. Give yourself two weeks before a wedding, a trip, or photos.

Then I tell you what I think will help most, what it costs, and what I'd leave alone. If cheeks are the answer, I place conservatively, and your two-week follow-up is included.
Before you book anywhere, read the FDA's page on dermal fillers. These are the reasons I'd ask you to wait or talk it through first:
The FDA lists bruising, redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, and itching as common dermal filler side effects and says many clear up within days to weeks. The most serious risk is filler getting into a blood vessel. The FDA calls that chance low, but it can cause tissue damage, vision problems including blindness, or stroke. Get care right away for unusual pain, any change in your vision, or skin near the injection site that turns white, gray, or blue.
Filler adds volume. It doesn't tighten loose skin, and it can't make a tired face look rested if the real issue is lines from movement. I'd rather tell you that at the consult than sell you syringes you don't need. Browse the full services menu if you want to compare options first.
