Facial balancing in Cornelius, NC usually starts, for me, with your profile. I'm Kat Chapman, BSN, RN, and I look at the line from your forehead to your chin before I look at any one feature, because that side view is where small changes tend to show most.

I'm the licensed RN doing the injection, and every treatment is done under the supervision of a medical director. My medical director has 23 years of practice and about 12 years in aesthetics. You can look up my license on the North Carolina Board of Nursing site.
Most people only see their face straight on, in a mirror. Everyone else sees it from the side at least half the time. When I take a profile photo at a consult, people are often surprised that the thing bothering them from the front is connected to something else from the side.
A common one: a chin that sits back can make the nose and lips look bigger than they are. For some faces, support at the chin changes the whole profile more than anything we could do to the lips. That's the idea behind facial harmonization. You treat the relationships between features, not a single feature in isolation.
Filler handles structure and volume. Neurotoxin handles movement. A typical profile plan might use hyaluronic acid (HA) filler at the chin and jawline, maybe the cheeks, and neurotoxin for frown lines if they're part of what you see. I use Juvéderm. Different HA fillers do different jobs, and I pick the right one for you at your consult.
Every area has its own page if you want detail: jawline and chin, cheeks, and neurotoxin.
Facial balancing is quoted at your free consult, because the price depends on how many areas we treat and how much product each needs. Filler is priced per syringe, and neurotoxins are $13 per unit. You see the full number before anything is booked, and we can stage it over more than one visit. See pricing for how each piece is priced.
Expect pressure and a few pinches, and we talk through numbing at the consult. Chin and jaw work can leave you swollen or tender for a few days, and a bruise is possible. Most people go back to work the same day.
Neurotoxin settles at about two weeks, and MedlinePlus notes cosmetic Botox may be repeated every 3 to 4 months, depending on how long the effect lasts. Filler lasts longer, but how long depends on the product, the area, and your body, so I give you a range at the consult.
I take front and side photos, watch your face move, go over your health history, and show you what I'd treat first and what I'd skip. If you want to start the same day, we usually can. You come back at two weeks for a free follow-up, and adjustments are made at no charge.
Tell me at the consult if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, under 22, have an infection or rash where we'd treat, a bleeding disorder, or a history of severe allergies. The FDA lists bruising, redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, and itching as common dermal filler side effects and says many clear up within days to weeks. The most serious risk is filler getting into a blood vessel. The FDA calls that chance low, but it can cause tissue damage, vision problems including blindness, or stroke. Get care right away for unusual pain, any change in your vision, or skin near the injection site that turns white, gray, or blue.

Because small changes at the chin, jawline, or cheeks often show most from the side, and they can change how the lips and nose read from the front.
Neurotoxin parts may be repeated every 3 to 4 months, per MedlinePlus. Filler lasts longer, and Kat gives you a realistic range at the consult.
